Connect Hyperliquid

Hyperliquid, without handing over a key.

Hyperliquid has no API keys: the read endpoint authorises by wallet address, so this connection holds an address and no secret.

Nothing here can sign, and there is no key to rotate or leak.

The credential

A public address, and that is the whole of it.

Every other venue here asks you to trust a key. This one gives us no option.

  • You paste the address you trade from. That is public information already
  • There is no secret to store, so there is nothing to encrypt, nothing to leak and nothing to rotate
  • Nothing in this connection can sign a transaction, because the endpoint it reads is unsigned by design

The number, and why it is that number

A unified account is easy to count twice.

One balance serves perps margin and idle spot. Adding both double counts it.

  • We take the view that matches the portfolio value Hyperliquid shows you, on unified and on older isolated accounts alike
  • Deposits, withdrawals and transfers are booked one row each, so you can see why the number moved
  • Realised profit, fees and funding are booked as one row per day, rewritten while the day is still open
  • An open position moving in price is deliberately not a row: a price move is not a transaction, and the balance already carries it

Questions

The questions people ask before connecting.

Do I have to give Orla an API key for Hyperliquid?
No, and there is none to give. Hyperliquid's read endpoint authorises by wallet address and is unsigned, so this connection holds a public address and no secret at all. Nothing in it can sign a transaction, and there is no key to rotate or leak.
Which balance does it show?
The one Hyperliquid shows you as portfolio value. Their unified account shares a balance between perps margin and idle spot, so adding the two together double counts it and taking the perps figure alone loses the rest. We take the view that matches their own screen, on unified and older isolated accounts alike.
Why do the rows not add up to the change in balance?
Because an open position moving in price is deliberately not booked as a row. A price move is not a transaction, and the mirrored balance already carries it. Deposits, withdrawals and transfers get a row each, and realised profit, fees and funding are booked as one row per day while that day is still open.
