Connect Gumroad
Gumroad sales, with Gumroad's cut shown separately.
Each sale carries a price and a fee. Both come across, so what you see is what you earned rather than what the customer paid.
One personal access token, pasted. Nothing else to fill in.
The token you give us
The simplest connection of the six.
Settings, then Advanced: an application, a token, paste it.
| What to createOne field | A personal access token from your own Gumroad account. It only ever reads that account |
| How it travelsA small thing that matters | The token rides in a request header, never in the address. Tokens in an address end up in logs and browser history; this one cannot |
| Checked before it is savedNot on the first sync | Tried against Gumroad first, so a dead token never reaches the database |
| Where it livesAfter it is accepted | Encrypted at rest, and never returned by our API again |
What lands, and what Gumroad does not say
Sales and fees, day by day. No platform balance, because there is none to read.
Gumroad publishes no payouts and no balance, so we invent neither.
- →Every sale carries its price and Gumroad's fee, so income and cost are separate figures from the start
- →Refunds subtract from the day they belong to
- →The Gumroad account holds nothing, because nothing says what is still there. The money counts once, when it reaches your bank
- →The payout itself arrives from the bank side, where it is a real transaction with a real date
Questions
The questions people ask before connecting.
Does it show Gumroad's fee separately?
Yes. Every sale carries its price and Gumroad's fee, so income and cost are separate figures from the moment they arrive rather than a net number you have to unpick later.
Why does my Gumroad account show no balance?
Because Gumroad publishes neither a balance nor payouts, so nothing tells us what is still sitting there. Rather than guess, the account holds nothing and the money counts once, when the payout reaches your bank.
Where does the token go?
Into a request header, never into the address. Tokens in an address end up in server logs and browser history. It is checked against Gumroad before the connection is created, then encrypted at rest.
