The person you send it to needs no account.

Most of what a finance app does is private. A handful of things are the opposite: they exist to be sent to somebody else, and they are the only part of Orla a stranger ever sees. This page is that handful, described from the side of the person who opens the link.

What you can hand somebody
02

An invoice, as a page and as a PDF

Line items, your logo and details, a due date, and a public link that always shows the balance due rather than the original total. Partial payments are recorded against it, so a client who paid half sees what is left rather than a number that no longer means anything.

03

Reminders that go out without you

A sent invoice with a client email is chased three days before it is due, on the day, and three and seven days after. Each one at most once, each one carrying the pay link. Every reminder has an unsubscribe link and an unsubscribed client is never mailed again.

04

A collection anyone can chip into

Open a goal to the public and it becomes a page with the target, what has been collected, and a live progress bar. A visitor picks one of the suggested amounts or types their own, leaves a name or does not, and pays. Contributions move the goal by themselves. When it is reached the page says so and stops taking money.

05

One short address instead of a screenshot

A space can take a handle, so the thing you read out loud is orla.finance/@name rather than a wall of characters. The person opening it types the amount and pays. The handle belongs to the space and stays with it, which also makes it the thing to check when something claims to be you.

06

A month, as a card

The monthly Wrapped is a snapshot you can share as a picture. What is on it is what you chose to put on it.

The person who paid you can keep their side of the record too.

Which is the part nobody expects, and the reason any of this spreads.

Where it stops being one way
01

Save it to my ledger

The public page carries one more button. A visitor who wants their own copy of the payment gets a free account, and their side is booked as an expense, with you added to their contacts. It works after the fact too, from the link in the receipt email, and pressing it twice does not create a second record.

Questions
Does the person paying me need an Orla account?

No. A pay link, an invoice and a collection page all work for somebody who has never heard of us. An account only comes up if they decide they want their own copy of the payment, and that is an offer on the page rather than a gate in front of it.

What does the payer see on a public page?

What the payment is for, the amount, and how to pay it. On a collection, the target, the running total and a progress bar. They do not see your accounts, your balances, your other invoices or anybody else's contribution details.

How does the referral reward work?

You invite somebody. When they make their first confirmed payment, you both get an add-on of your choosing. It is minted by the payment rather than by the signup, and an earned pack is honoured on the free plan, so you do not have to be a paying customer to keep what you earned.

Send the first one today.

A link, an amount, and somebody who does not have to sign up to pay it.
